![]() I'll retract my statement on CDP not doing well financially, but here are some points I'd like to bring up.ġ) CDP's stock hasn't really recovered since last December. Also, are there any other online stores that sell games without DRM? The irony in all this is that I have a feeling that if Cyberpunk sold well they wouldn't have done this. That being said, with headlines like " GOG now sells many games with DRM" I wouldn't be surprised if they lose more sales then they gain. Like you said, they probably crunched the numbers and realized that in order to keep operating where they are now (and to get out of the hole they've dug themselves into), they'd have to open up GOG to DRM. Now that I think about it CDP hasn't been doing well financially after what happened with Cyberpunk (amazing pre-sales/non-existent sales after launch), plus (See the below post) Their brand as a whole has been significantly tarnished which I strongly suspect has affected the sales of other parts of their business (GOG, Witcher, Gwent). At some point they did the math and saw that this change of course would be more profitable in the face of whatever consumer backlash may occur. Their primary function is to make as much money as possible, not to do right by consumers.ĬDP is a public company, so they’re legally obligated to generate as much income as they can. ![]() I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.ĬPU 13900k, Motherboard Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX, RAM CORSAIR Vengeance 4x16gb 5200 MHZ, GPU Zotac RTX 4090 Trinity OC, Case Fractal Pop Air XL, Storage Sabrent Rocket Q4 2tb, CORSAIR Force Series MP510 1920GB NVMe, CORSAIR FORCE Series MP510 960GB NVMe, PSU CORSAIR HX1000i, Cooling Corsair XC8 CPU block, Bykski GPU block, 360mm and 280mm radiator, Displays Odyssey G9, LG 34UC98-W 34-Inch, Keyboard Mountain Everest Max, Mouse Mountain Makalu 67, Sound AT2035, Massdrop 6xx headphones, Go XLRĬPU i9-9900k, Motherboard, ASUS Rog Maximus Code XI, RAM, 48GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 3200 mhz (2x16)+(2x8) GPU Nvidia 3070 TI FE, Asus ROG Strix 2070 8gb, PNY 1080, Nvidia 1080, CaseMining Frame, 2x Storage Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB, 5x Seagate IronWolf 8tb NAS(ZFS1), PSU Corsair RM1000x and RM850x, Cooling Asus Rog Ryuo 240 with Noctua NF-12 fans, OS Unraid We do encourage original content, however.I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems. ![]() Unmarked posts will be removed and member subject to severe punishment.
